My goal right now is to get ripped six pack abs and it's pretty challenging. Do you have some suggestions as far as a good six pack abs diet? I've heard that egg whites, oatmeal, salmon, blueberries and broccoli are all necessary to incorporate into your diet...anything else I'm not thinking of?

<blockquote>Hi Hugo,
I agree with pretty much all of the foods you've listed, but why only egg whites? Most people are afraid of egg yolks because they contain fat, and are perceived as a 'high cholesterol' food. But the egg yolk is actually the most nutritional part of the egg!

Hi,- found your blog while looking for exercise/fitness ideas. I am more interested in toned abs as opposed to having "washboard abs" - is there any program/exercise you think can of ? can the "ab" regimen here be tailored to lesser goals.

<blockquote>Hi Nancy,

GREAT question by the way. The Truth About Six Pack Abs is completely adaptable to your personal goals. As you probably already know, the difference between being 'ripped' and 'toned' has a lot to do with your body fat percentage. If your goal is to get toned, once you reach your desired body fat %, just ease up on the workouts and moderate your nutrition slightly. If your goal is to get ripped "washboard" abs then as soon as you get toned, jack the exercise and nutrition up to lower your body fat some more.

Don't forget that the size of your abdominal muscles will dictate ab definition once your body fat percentage is low enough. Just go easy on Mike's abdominal exercise routines and don't add any resistance if you want to stay toned.

Also a woman's testosterone levels aren't high enough to worry about getting 'big and bulky' with Truth About Abs. You'd have to be lifting some serious weight for that to happen.

Hope this helps,
Dave</blockquote>
