The Truth About Six Pack Abs FAQ

“What type of exercises will I be doing with The Truth About Six Pack Abs? Will I be doing tons of cardio, lifting lots of heavy weights, or both?”

Really, the question should be “What are the best exercises for burning my stubborn fat, building lean muscle and getting six pack abs”.

Mike Geary teaches you the most effective exercises for getting rid of your belly flab in the least possible time. His exercises are also perfect for building lean muscle, getting ripped and getting toned (depending on YOUR goals).

“I’m really busy with my kids and work, and I don’t get much spare time to workout. Is it true that truth about abs won’t work for me because I don’t have enough free time?”

(I get this question a lot.) Absolutely not. One of the main principles of the TAA program is that you DO NOT have to spend countless hours working out. Mike Geary will teach you exactly how to maximise each and every workout. And he actively recommends working out 3 to 4 times per week, for only 45 mins at a time.

Take me as an example. I used to workout 5 or 6 days a week and for 1.5 hours at a time! Now I’m down to 4 x 45 min sessions and I get better results. WIN!

“I’ve read that TAA is about building muscle, but as a woman I don’t want to get big and bulky or have bulging muscles like Madonna! Does this mean I should just stick to my diet?”

First of all, Truth About Abs isn’t about building muscle per se. It is about working your muscles to stimulate a fat burning, hormonal response. Just because you are ‘working’ your muscles, it doesn’t mean that you are training to become a female body builder.

Did you know that you can increase the size of a muscle group, and in doing so that area of your body actually gets smaller? Let’s take your thighs for example. If you work them using the exercises Mike shows you then they will become tighter and more toned. Plus you’ll be burning the excess layer of fat that covers them, so the end result is slimmer, sleeker thighs.

For most of the exercises that Mike shows you, you will be able to use your own body weight as resistance which promotes muscle toning. But if you want to stack on some muscle then just jack up the weights and away you go.

P.S. Mike will also fix that sucky “diet” for you too! ;-)

“Is The Truth About Abs an abdominal exercise routine, or is it a fat loss/ weight loss program?”

The answer to this question WILL surprise you :-) So I’ve put together a full-blown video and article response for you.

“What if I don’t like the program. Can I get a refund?”

Yes you can. It is extremely easy to get a refund via Clickbank, and I’ve even put together a video to show you exactly how to do so as part of my TAA Bonus Program.

However, TAA has an amazing success rate, and along with my Bonus Program I think it gives you the very best possible chance of reaching your fat loss goals. But it depends, are you really up for making an amazing change for the better?

“Mike Geary says you don’t have to do crunches to get a six pack. What a load of BS!”

Okay, I know this isn’t technically a question, but a lot of TAA customers find this site because they want six pack abs, so you’ll be amazed how often this comes up.

It is a scientific fact that crunches zone in on your abdominal muscles. This is a relatively small muscle group. Therefore it stands to reason that your body won’t burn as many calories doing crunches as you would if you were working your entire core and your legs all at the same time (like you do in a squat).

Further more, your body won’t be burning as many calories to maintain and repair your muscles after crunches as it would had you done a series of multi-joint exercises. Getting six pack abs is about burning fat, and I’m sorry but crunches just don’t burn enough of it.

You can keep on spending 30 mins zoning in on your abs, and you’ll have an amazing six pack, but there will be so much fat covering your belly that nobody will ever see it!

Interesting stories in this site. Great tips for me to think about to lose my fat gut!

  • Hi,- found your blog while looking for exercise/fitness ideas. I am more interested in toned abs as opposed to having “washboard abs” – is there any program/exercise you think can of ? can the “ab” regimen here be tailored to lesser goals.

    Hi Nancy,

GREAT question by the way. The Truth About Six Pack Abs is completely adaptable to your personal goals. As you probably already know, the difference between being ‘ripped’ and ‘toned’ has a lot to do with your body fat percentage. If your goal is to get toned, once you reach your desired body fat %, just ease up on the workouts and moderate your nutrition slightly. If your goal is to get ripped “washboard” abs then as soon as you get toned, jack the exercise and nutrition up to lower your body fat some more.

Don’t forget that the size of your abdominal muscles will dictate ab definition once your body fat percentage is low enough. Just go easy on Mike’s abdominal exercise routines and don’t add any resistance if you want to stay toned.

Also a woman’s testosterone levels aren’t high enough to worry about getting ‘big and bulky’ with Truth About Abs. You’d have to be lifting some serious weight for that to happen.

    Hope this helps,
    Dave

My goal right now is to get ripped six pack abs and it’s pretty challenging. Do you have some suggestions as far as a good six pack abs diet? I’ve heard that egg whites, oatmeal, salmon, blueberries and broccoli are all necessary to incorporate into your diet…anything else I’m not thinking of?

    Hi Hugo,
I agree with pretty much all of the foods you’ve listed, but why only egg whites? Most people are afraid of egg yolks because they contain fat, and are perceived as a ‘high cholesterol’ food. But the egg yolk is actually the most nutritional part of the egg!
