I’ve just come back from a week’s vacation in Spain with my girlfriend. Even though we are in November, the weather over there was unseasonably hot. During the day we were simmering nicely in 28 degree heat (80+ Fahrenheit). Much nicer than the driving wind and rain back in the UK let me tell you :-)

While I was away it dawned on me just how difficult it can be to eat right while on vacation. Let’s face it, when you go on holiday you want to unwind, kick back and treat yourself a little bit.

On top of that the tendency is to leave all of your meal prep in the hands of your hosts; the hotel kitchen, the local grocery store and of course the local restaurants.

But our vacations are a time to relax, right? Who needs the stress of hunting down those fat burning foods while we are on holiday? Not me!

So here is a little guide on how to eat while you’re on holiday, so the scales don’t scream in pain under the weight of your vacation excess.

Fat Burning Foods For Breakfast

Most, if not all hotels these days will lay on some kind of a buffet style breakfast. My advice is to go for the whole fruits (not fruit juice), low fat, unsweetened yoghurt, wholegrain cereal, a slice of whole grain bread, eggs, grilled veg etc.

If possible avoid sugar loaded breakfast cereals, toast and jam and any fried meats. Grilled lean meat is OK though.

If your only choice is scrambled egg on two slices of wholegrain toast with grilled tomatoes then things could be a lot worse!

You might even like to grab some of the fresh fruit for a mid-morning snack.

Foods That Burn Fat For Lunch and Dinner

I’m assuming that you will be hitting the local restaurants for lunch and dinner, if not then a trip to the local store.

My absolute favorite ‘vacation foods’ are grilled or roasted veg and lean meats. If you ever go on any kind of Spanish, Italian or French coastal holiday then you will be spoilt for choice in terms of fresh fish (I’ve also heard that Florida is great for fish). If not then head for the chicken.

The key here is to avoid cream sauces.

Take The Time For A Treat

20 Minute Express Fat Loss Workout

The biggest myth about training to lose belly fat and to get six pack abs is that you have to spend hours working out. The truth is you can stimulate a hormonal fat burning response in as little as 15 minutes. But ONLY if you’re doing the right exercises.

Here’s a great example of how you can turn your inner fat burning furnace up to full blast, even if you are really pushed for time.

And the great thing about it is you can do this workout at home; you don’t even need to hit the gym!

Equipment

The equipment you need is minimal, and it can all be set up before you begin your home workout. You’ll need:

1. Pull-up/ Chin-up bar. I’m talking the kind that you can easily put up in any door frame or attach to a spare wall. If you’re serious about your six pack abs then you’ll definitely need one of these.

2. 1 x Kettlebell/ dumbbell (optional). We’re going to be doing some dumbbell/ kettlebell swings, but if you are a beginner then you might want to sub-out the weights and stick to prisoner squats instead. My personal preference is a 24kg kettlebell.

3. That’s it! Oh by the way I’m assuming you are already wearing clothes. Working out naked can be dangerous!

Exercises

One of the first things you will learn from The Truth About Six Pack Abs is that multi-joint exercises are the key to losing belly fat fast. With that in mind we are going to be focussing on working as many muscle groups at the same time as possible.

Pull-ups

Chin-ups

Hanging leg raises/ hanging knee raises (depending on experience)

Two arm kettlebell/ dumbbell swings or prisoner squats

Pushups (warm up only)

The great thing and bout all of these exercises is that you are working all of the major muscle groups in your body. And in many cases you are working several at the same time.

The Workout

The real key to effectiveness and quickness of this workout is your intensity. For that reason we are only resting for 30 seconds between each set of exercises.

Warm up:
Prisoner squats – 1x 20-40
Pushups – 1 x 10-20
Rest – 30 secs
**Repeat 3 times**

Main exercises:
Chin-ups – 1 x 5-10
Two-arm kettlebell/ dumbbell swings 1 x 10-20
Rest – 30 secs

Pull-ups – 1 x 5-10
Two-arm kettlebell/ dumbbell swings 1 x 10-20
Rest – 30 secs

Hanging leg raises/ hanging knee raises 1 x 5-10
Two-arm kettlebell/ dumbbell swings 1 x 10-20
Rest – 30 secs
**Rinse & repeat all 2-3 times**

And that is it! Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the workout, or by the fact that it sounds ‘easy’. I promise you that after completing superset number two your heart will be pounding and the sweat will be dripping from your forehead.

If you manage to complete all 3 sets then let me be the first to congratulate you; you are well on your way to sexy six pack abs.

So that’s it for this super-quick belly fat burning workout. This is absolutely great if you have a really busy schedule or you absolutely hate the gym like I do.
